2. Free Community Caroling
When: Friday, 4 p.m.
Where: Eagle Harbor Congregational Church
Why: Ovation! Musical Theatre Bainbridge and Bainbridge Chorale are co-sponsoring this free Community Caroling event for the 8th consecutive year. Song Sheets will be provided. Donations to Helpline House will be accepted.
3. Olympic Performance Group Presents A Roaring Twenties Nutcracker
When: Friday and Saturday, 7-9:15 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 2 p.m.

4. Museum Playtime with Santa at KiDiMu
When: Saturday, 11 a.m.
Where: Kids Discovery Museum, 301 Ravine Lane NE
Why: Santa’s moonlighting at KiDiMu in all his spare time. Bring your camera to grab a candid for the relatives.
Free with admission or membership. $6.
5. Eleven Winery Features Brent James Driscoll
When: Saturday, 1-4 p.m.
Where: Eleven Winery, 7671 NE Day Road
Why: Driscoll ably handles angst-ridden grunge classics.
Open 12-5 p.m. for tours and tastings. Live music from 1-4 p.m.
6. Visiting Vet: Plush Pet Clinic
When: Saturday, 2-2:30 p.m.
Where: Kids Discovery Museum, 301 Ravine Lane NE
Why: If Bun’s nose is unraveling or Tiger’s ear is coming loose, Dr. Lisa Barfield can help diagnose the problem and give tips on how to be a responsible pet owner and help your (real or toy) pet stay healthy and happy.

7. Holiday Kids Night at the Museum (a.k.a. Parents Night Out)
When: Saturday, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Where: Kids Discovery Museum, 301 Ravine Lane NE
Why: While parents do last-minute shopping or envelope addressing, kids can have a stress-free evening of play, pizza, and activities.

8. Bainbridge Island Fruit Club Meeting
When: Friday, 6-8 p.m.
Where: Bainbridge Island Grange Hall, 10340 Madison Ave NE
Why: This month’s speaker is Kathleen Allen. Enjoy the company of other fruit tree fans.
9. Island Theatre at the Library Presents What Women Have to Say
When: Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Bainbridge Public Library, 1270 Madison Ave. N
Why: Diane Bankart and Rozzella Kolbegger direct readings and monologues by, for, and about women.

10. Lighting the Night: A Solstice Walk Through Bloedel Reserve
When: Sunday
Where: Bloedel Reserve, 7571 NE Dolphin Drive
Why: If you even decide to get out of bed on the very short, shortest day of the year, light things up with a candle-lit walk around the Reserve. Meet in the Ed Center to decorate lanterns and warm up with hot cider before walking the grounds together.
Tthe only light will be from candles. Please wear proper footwear and exercise caution. Get tickets at www.bloedelreserve.org. $15.
11. Holiday Gift Wrapping
When: Sunday, 12-6 p.m.
Where: Pleasant Beach Marketplace, 4738 Lynwood Center Road NE
Why: Bainbridge Island Rowers are wrapping their way to Nationals in Sarasota in the spring. Bring gifts needing festive festooning and help send the rowers rowing.
12. Eleven Winery Features Michel Navedo

Why: Navedo’s got a smooth Brazilian jazz groove.
